1. About these terms
These Affiliate Programme Terms (“Affiliate Terms”) apply to anyone who joins the AgroBridge affiliate programme (an “Affiliate”) and to anyone who signs up using an Affiliate’s referral code. They add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply. If these Affiliate Terms conflict with the Terms of Service on a matter about the programme, these Affiliate Terms apply.
2. Joining the programme
You can apply to become an Affiliate from the app, under Profile → Affiliates & referrals. You need an active AgroBridge account in good standing and a mobile money account in your own name to receive payments.
Every application is reviewed by AgroBridge. We may approve or decline an application at our discretion, and we are not obliged to give a reason. When you are approved, you receive a personal referral code in the app. Only approved Affiliates can refer people.
3. Referring people
A person is your referral when they enter your code when signing up, or from their profile within the claim window after signing up (currently 7 days). After that window a code can no longer be added.
- Each person can be referred only once, ever. This applies to the person, not the account — closing an account and signing up again does not allow a new referral.
- A referral, once recorded, cannot be moved to another Affiliate.
- You cannot use your own code or refer your own accounts.
4. When a referral earns a bounty
Signing up alone does not earn anything. A referral qualifies the first time the referred person does one of the following:
- completes an order on AgroBridge, as a buyer or as a seller, with a total of at least the qualifying minimum (currently K50); or
- buys points with mobile money.
An order between a referred person and the Affiliate who referred them does not qualify. Each referral can earn a bounty only once.
5. The bounty
For each qualified referral you earn a fixed bounty (currently K20). The current amount, minimum order and other figures are always shown on the affiliate page in the app. If we change them, the change applies only to referrals that qualify afterwards — a bounty already earned keeps the amount it was earned at.
6. Review period and payment
A qualified referral is held for a review period (currently 7 days) before it can be paid. This lets us check that the activity was genuine.
After the review period, we pay your earned bounties by mobile money to the number on your affiliate profile, which you can update in the app. Payments are made periodically, not instantly, and you are notified in the app when a payment is sent, with its transaction reference. You are responsible for giving us a correct mobile money number; we are not liable for a payment sent to a number you provided.
Bounties are paid in Zambian Kwacha. You are responsible for any tax that applies to what you earn.
7. Fair play
You must promote AgroBridge honestly. You must not:
- create accounts, or have others create accounts, solely to earn bounties;
- arrange fake, inflated or self-dealing orders or points purchases;
- offer people money or other incentives to sign up with your code without our written approval;
- misrepresent AgroBridge, its prices, or what people will earn or receive by joining;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or post your code where the site or platform does not allow it;
- use AgroBridge’s name or logo in paid advertising, or in a way that suggests you are employed by or speak for AgroBridge.
If we believe a referral is not genuine, or that these Affiliate Terms have been broken, we may reject that referral, withhold or reverse its bounty, and suspend your Affiliate account. While suspended, your code stops working and no payments are made. Where a bounty was paid for activity we later find to be fraudulent, we may recover it.
8. What Affiliates can see
The app shows you the people who used your code by first name and last initial, with the date they joined and whether their referral has qualified or been paid. You are not given their phone number or any other contact details, and you must not use the programme to collect personal information about them.
9. Your relationship with AgroBridge
Being an Affiliate does not make you an employee, agent or partner of AgroBridge. You cannot enter into agreements or make promises on our behalf.
10. Changing or ending the programme
We may change these Affiliate Terms, the bounty or the qualifying rules, pause new referrals, or end the programme at any time. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Bounties for referrals that qualified before a change or closure will still be paid, unless they are rejected under section 7.
You can stop being an Affiliate at any time by contacting support. Bounties you had already earned at that point will still be paid.
